Vail Resorts Epic App

Description:
Vail Resorts wanted to imagine what the future of their My Epic app could look like — something beyond a utility tool. They were looking for a vision that felt elevated, told a story, and connected every part of the guest journey from planning to post-trip.
We created a vision prototype that introduced a new visual style, showcased new features, and told an on-mountain story about bringing friends and family together on the slopes. I led the UX for the flow and built the animated prototype that connected each moment — from planning a trip, to navigating the mountain with an AI chat assistant, to a personalized trip recap at the end. My partner handled the visual design.
This was one of many projects I worked on with Vail through Mondo Robot. Over time I contributed to the Find My Friends feature and its entry point, onboarding flows and animations, and vision work for their iOS 18 launch. I presented directly to the client, walked through design rationale between options, QA tested app features, and worked closely with developers to align on implementation approaches.
Of everything I worked on with Vail, the vision prototype was my favorite. It gave me room to experiment, stay visually focused, and help define what the future of their digital experience could actually feel like. (And it taught me to aggressively name all my layers:)
