Description:

I've always loved collecting things. Call me a hoarder, but I think of it more like archaeology — gathering inspiration from the real world, finding texture in unexpected places, treating small discoveries like they matter.

This started as a general coffee packaging and branding project for a luxury dark roast company. But mid-project I took a trip to Nicaragua with a friend to visit her grandmother's restaurant, and the work shifted. I couldn't stop noticing how colorful León was — the patterns on the sidewalks, the details in the architecture, all of it intricately unique to that place. I also learned that Nicaraguan coffee is grown and harvested in the high-altitude volcanic regions surrounding the country's volcanoes. The trip and the project started feeding each other, and I wanted to create a brand that spoke to that.
